Precariously perched on his stool outside one of Iowa City’s local dive bars, part-time bouncer, full-time fuckboy, Jake Reinfeldt, has yet to accept someone legally over the age of 21 into the establishment. Reports began circulating regarding the admittance of minors to the bar around last October when patrons apparently spotted several underage members of the community, including actors from the television series Young Sheldon, North West (twelve-year-old daughter of famed Kim Kardashian and Kanye West), and a literal baby. This group allegedly presented Iowa City Park District identification cards as an age verifier to Reinfeldt, where he supposedly glanced at the various loose squares of plastic, charged them $15 for cover, and continued to usher them in.
To test the extent of negligence, The Doily Allergen sent several undercover real life adults to the local shack in order to gauge Reinfeldt’s reaction (or lack thereof) to feeling his first ever genuine government issued identification card. We sent of-age staff ranging from Officer Earl Devereaux, Anna Delvey, and Brian Thompson to present their varying forms of false legal identification ranging from passports, Casey’s rewards cards, and a singular slip of paper stating “please let me in, I have a gun.” Jake accepted all of these as valid forms of ID and when asked about the written threat, responded with confusion, claiming it had stated a 2002 birthdate. This is an ongoing investigation and The Doily Allergen will keep you updated.
