Summit Hosts Ticketed Father's Day Brunch
A celebration!
This Father’s Day, Iowa City will be calling one bar and one bar only. Summit is hosting a Sunday Father’s Day brunch this summer after their newfound publicity with what they call “an unexpected marketing video.” Since then, Summit has received hundreds of calls wondering what the club was and why, exactly, the house dad was there.
Owners of Summit decided they wanted to capitalize off of this attention and slight confusion. Sources have told The Doily Allergen that Iowa City has not had a boom in tourism inquiries in the area since the days of Caitlin Clark. The staple downtown bar aspires to be in competition with establishments like Barrett’s and Bread Garden with the warmer weather. With all eyes on the University of Iowa, Summit is now an establishment for people to bring their dads for a good ol’ classy brunch.
For just $15, fathers can sit out on the patio, enjoy brunch, and take in the aura of downtown Iowa City this June 21, 2026. A fixed menu, created by a former fraternity cook for Alpha Delta Phi, will serve a gastronomic hot dog with all the condiments for frat bros and fathers alike to enjoy. Fittingly, Summit will also be running a deal with $2 Busch Lights. Downtown Iowa City projects a large number of diners for the highly anticipated celebration of life. Tickets are available only through LineLeap and are expected to sell out quickly.
