Herky Joins a Flock of Geese: Flies South For Spring Break

Herky was seen recently flying over the great state of Texas with a flock of geese. On one of the group's pit stops we stopped to ask him: What is he doing so far away from Iowa City?
“Well I was getting sad, seeing all my beautiful hawkeye family packing up and leaving for Spring Break. I mean, what am I going to do without any basketball games to cheer for, or people to hang out with? I am a very domesticated bird, so being alone is not really my forte.”
“So, while I was doing my sad little Charlie Brown walk by the Iowa River, I ran into a flock of geese. They said that I should take some time for myself, since everyone else was leaving me. So, that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m gonna lay on the beach and tan, go swimming, and drink way too many margaritas, because I deserve a break too.”
There you have it folks, Herky is a lot more like us than we think. He wants the same things we do. To go to a warm beach, get sand in all the wrong places, and get crunk. And frankly, we at the Doily Allergen can’t think of a better way for a bird to spend their Spring Break.
