Street Hawk Debuts ‘Disgusting Burger Surprise’
A Meal that Leaves You Sweating, Shaking, and Satisfied
In a shocking turn of events, the University of Iowa’s Street Hawk Food Truck has made the bold move to debut its newest entree menu item: the “Disgusting Burger Surprise”. The beloved mobile establishment has released weekly specials and experimental items before, but never to this degree.
“We have our menu mainstays, and those are okay, but we wanted to step outside the culinary box.” explains Street Hawk’s newest employee, Chef Gross. “Every restaurant sets out with the goal to make food that tastes good. It takes a true visionary—a culinary savant—to purposefully create food that’s bad.”
And bad it is. This recent menu addition is leaving students “gagged”, and apparently not in the good way. For once, the leading cause of vomiting campus-wide is not alcohol poisoning.
Although, for some adventurous eaters, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. One anonymous student states, “you just really need a well-developed palette to appreciate the nuances: Hitting the sweet spot right between trash and garbage. The experience is exhilarating, in a way. Like a horror movie for your mouth and insides.”
While one’s insides may not remain inside for long, the Doily Allergen’s official stance* is that this was a brilliant decision on the University’s part. If all goes well, the Chicken Slime Sandwich is said to be premiering a week from now.
